It's been a while since I've had a story idea take hold and eat my brain, so it's fun. Go and take a look; there's a lot of films left to do and you can suggest ones that aren't on the list!

Here's a beautiful SPN picspam (Read more... )

I am Legend scared the crap out of my because zombies = my worst fear ever ever ever. And they kill the puppy D: D: D:

Doctor Who Christmas Special: I give it a thumbs up, despite what other people say. I liked it, especially after so long without.

Torchwood: I keep trying to watch that, but every time I start, I get all pissed off at it and I don't know why!! I really want to watch it, what with my favorite character ever ever being on S2, but.. siiiigh. I've got to get over it.

I thought I'd like the zombies after watching so many horror movies last year but I stared and went "...that's it?" They looked so fake to me. :\ AND THE PUPPY, DAMNIT. I might have sniffled. Fuck. I knew something bad was going to happen but that? Heartbreaking.

I need to see DW soon. I've missed it, but I didn't like the finale that much, so I've been putting it off. But MARTHA! God, I LOVE her. Whatever highs and lows the past season has had, MARTHA = AMAZING-NESS.

I'm the same way with Torchwood. I skipped some episodes -- um, should get to them -- in order to see the finale. Because sometimes I wanted to thwack some of the characters. But, S2 and certain favorite characters? Must catch up and watch all of them! ;)

They were pretty lame looking, but like I said.. THINGS EATING ME ALIVE =/= NO FUN. And it was such a gooood dog!! *wail*

MARTHA IS MY FAVORITE, SWEET LORD. She's amazing and I can't express enough how much I love her. I was so upset that she just LEFT. But it worked, esp with the way RTD made her so OMGILU toward the Doctor. Martha's too amazing to be mopey. <3

Gwen bothers me!! I've tried so many times to watch it, and either I get mad or something horrible with my computer happens. Sigh. John Barrowman, you're lucky you're so damn attractive, else I'd have completely given up by now.

The book is... fantastic but I can see how it's extremely difficult to adapt. As for the movie, a lot of it is just totally different than the book, especially the ending parts. They changed the entire meaning behind the title, too, haha. WHICH kind of annoyed me, despite the fact that I really like the movie and adore Will Smith.

Oh, okay! I was wondering. Especially the ending. It felt weird. I've never seen the other film adaptations either but it just felt... off? Changing the title I could see from a film standpoint because it's the kinda filmic all-knowing narration / grand ending thing that's done a lot (if that makes any sense). But I love Will and he was fantastic in it. :)

No, the title itself is the same, it's the MEANING behind the title that changed. But the thing is, I don't think the original meaning would have worked in a movie because in the book it basically represents a revelation that Neville comes to as the story is ending. But it's a personal revelation, you know?

That's what I meant -- as in the whole 'he gave his life -> that is his legend' thing. It's a change that I can see them doing because it's like a grand heroic movie thingy. Not the title itself. ;)

I am sleepy and being a dumbass by not wanting to outright spoil in the comments. Forgive my silliness. OMG NEED SLEEP.

But you're right that it probably wouldn't have worked. I think they tried a little with the butterfly thing? By then though, since it's personal I'm not surprised they couldn't quite carry it out as it is in the book.
