Yesterday, gotravel and I went to the Big Apple Con and had a fantastic time. Tickets were free as it was the 10th anniversary of the con, so first time + free entrance = already off to a good start. There were too many comic books, toys, DVDs, badges and pins and it was geek heaven AND they had Beatles stuff, making it that much more cooler. Besides the ( Read more... )

Miyazaki's movies > every other anime movie

I loved Howl's Moving Castle. I really should own it. The only two I own are Spirited Away and Kiki's Delivery Service. (Fact: I once cosplayed as Kiki!)

Worrrd. Everything he does turns out to be VERY, very good. I still need to get Spirited Away! It's become one of those films I constantly see at the highest price possible but I never get around to buying it because of that. Ugh.

Yes! It's okay -- I've been downloading movies and such like a fiend lately so if I don't get around to seeing it that way I'll be y'know, nice and actually go to the theater to see it. ;) Heh.

Re: link, casting calls FTW, though I can never cast those sort of things -- I'll have ideas in my head when it comes to older characters but young ones I can't, maybe because I just see a visual in my head of a body/face type and I don't know many young male actors (naughty Stef, yes.) But eavesdropping, fun! :)

::makes grabby motions:: yeees! It has been ages and that is mostly my fault due to being lazy around the house. But once I get my head wrapped around crappy school (starts again this week, ugh) I want to see yooou too! :)

Also? I watched up 'til Skin on SPN today. writing a post about it now. Dean = coooool. :D

Diane Duane's So You Want TO Be A Wizard (fabulous book) is in the very early stages of being turned into a film.

It's the first in a series called the Young Wizards series, which is meant for teenagers. I first read SYWTBAW a number of years ago, but it's still a good read, and so are the others. There are a couple of 'adult' books based in the same universe which are also really good. I'm just warning you that once you get sucked in, you'll never resurface!
