Finally, an excuse to cite Anne Fadiman's essay "The Joy of Sesquipedalians," from which I swiped most of the long words and their definitions. Star Trek: Reboot. Kirk/McCoy Suggestive.

You'll want to have a good dictionary handy in case of challenges -- I had debated leaving the definition off before I discovered it wasn't in most online dictionaries.
