It probably was sparked by the whole animal crisis going on at the moment...but I was walking around yesterday, and saw a sign for 'Animal Shelter'. I didn't quite know what it was, and feeling a sense of adventure - went in.

Mrs. Hanover is very nice, and she's very understanding of the fact that some dogs can be...terrifying. I'm going to ( Read more... )

What kind of animals are at the shelter?

While I do not know much about 'pop culture' as far as movies and television, I have been reading a lot of books on the development of modern culture if you would like to read them as well.

Mainly dogs and cats - though there was a strange creature which is rather frightening called an iguana. He belongs to Mrs. Hanover's friend though - he's just staying for a while so hopefully he'll be gone soon...

I'd be very interested in reading one of those books, Cassandra. Thank you.

An animal shelter? Well, that seems like quite a noble thing of you to spend your time doing.

Mmm...I'd recommend watching the news. It isn't always very interesting, but it's actually a surprisingly useful broadcasting.

...Ah, thank you La - I mean, Your Highness. I enjoy it very much, and it does seem like a good way to spend my free time.

The news? I will look into it, thank you for you kind suggestion....

Your Highness? There's really no need for that here. You can call me Persephone - or, well, Phoebe I suppose. Either or, it isn't important.

And you're quite welcome. Just browsing through television channels usually turns out to be quite interesting as well.

I am so glad you have found a job you enjoy, Genia darling! It is good they do not have large dogs, there--it would be frightening (a-and not to mention dangerous)!!

A-as for television shows and such, I do not know much! I am sorry I could not be of more help!!

I'm so excited as well! They do have a couple of large dogs...but they're nicer than the ones from home, and the ones that aren't, Mrs. Hanover takes care of. (I am a bit worried for her, but she assured me it was fine...)

That's fine, Hygeia! I've been given a couple of suggestions already - Lord Achilles reccomends the 'sports channel' and the Q-Q-Queen of the Underworld suggests the News.

Mrs. Hanover seems very kind!! Are there all sorts of animals at the shelter? (I'm sure she will be fine! She sounds to be a very capable lady!)

Ohh! Wonderful suggestions, although I am still muddled on what exactly they...are. But I am sure they will only recommend to you the best!!

She is! Oh yes, there's cats and dogs mostly - a scary animal called an iguana which will be leaving soon - two birds...I think. Sometimes she gets others though - or so she says! (I hope so, the iguana might be more frightening than the dogs...)

Me too...though Lord Achilles has offered to show me the sports channels so maybe I'll ask him then. I'll pass on the information to you then, Hygeia!

Sounds fun! Can I come with you if it doesn't interfere with work at The Narcissus?
