Is this concept of divine uncreated light really picked up in the liturgical texts (especially Vespers and Matins) for the Feast of the Transfiguration?
My impression (but my Slavonic is far from perfect) is that it not: that the main accent is on the event as strengthening the 3 key apostles to survive the trauma of Christ's crucifixion.
I also hesistate with the quote by St Gregory Palamas (your first reference). While his explanation is enticing (and not impossible), there is nothing in the pure Biblical text (John 20) to support it. Obviously if the three disciples saw in or around the empty tomb a light that reminded them of Thabor, it would have had a convincing effect on them, but I am not sure we can read this into the Biblical narrative.
