I saw this comm for the first time, today, when I followed a link to the article on Dean Winchester. As a rabid new Jensen fan who just ebay'd/watched S2 Dark Angel, I wondered if one had been written on Alec, and was thrilled to find that it had!

So, a year to the day after the last comment, I just want to say BRAVA! I think you captured the character and his journey beautifully. Thanks also for the links :)

I'm so glad that because of Dean more people are enjoying Ackles's work, and finding Alec, who is a character I rather adore. His journey fascinates me, and the possibilities of what he could have ended up being are really frustraing/fodder for ficcing. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you found the links of use.

I watched Dark Angel a few years ago (or so i've been told. I barely remember watching, but i owned the DVDs so i apparently i did watch it a lot.) I just got back into it. I'm now an obsessed fan (of course this happens two or three years after it goes off the air). It also made me a huge fan of Jensen Ackles (and his new show Supernatural).

And getting to my actual point.....I found this on a Jensen Ackles Forum and all I have to say is WOW! This was a great piece on Alec. You got his character perfectly. That's exactly how I always thought of him. I've read a few other things that fans have written on him, and they just didn't seem to see Alec the same way I do. But you did, so I just wanted to say great job! It was wonderfully written and fun to read (I really enjoyed the quotes from some of Alec's scenes).

I'm also new to Dark Angel through Supernatural, and I'm working my way up to watching all of season 2, though I've seen all the big plot episodes. This is a really great piece of Alec meta, it completely jives with what little I know of him. So, two years and a bit since you wrote this, thank you!
