So to all you HIMYM fans... here's my thought about last night's episode...

I like Kevin (and Kal), but Robin/Kevin is just creepy. He's her former therapist. Right after she mentioned abandonment issues, he "abandoned" Robin and she basically latched onto him. I can't past the creepy factor to actually think they're adorable or anything.

I LOL'd at Barney's Ewok presentation and him and Ted using his students as a focus group.

I can't wait for the rest of the season!

You know, I think Kevin's very honourable. He stopped treating Robin the moment he knew he fancied her, and told her exactly why he couldn't keep seeing her. But the heart wants what the heart wants! I don't think he did anything wrong. You meet people in the weirdest ways sometimes! :-)

He's Kumar to me so I do like him. His delivery sometimes seems a bit off and I have NO idea what is going on in Robin's head so I couldn't get behind the ship if I wanted to. :S

Season 5 did kill a lot of the excitement of B/R for me- however The Best Man did a lot to get some of it back- and I'd rather aim for that feeling again than move on to other ships. :) If that makes sense.

Ted had sexy stubble and Barney was rocking a ducky tie- how could you NOT ship them? :D

You know, I wondered exactly what Ted's stubble was about? They never explained it and it annoyed me. We know he's not growing a break-up beard right now!

But yeah, I'm pretty happy with Robin's reactions actually. I think she's just lonely and desperate to connect. And actually that's the reason she wanted Barney, and is a GOOD reason for her not to get with Barney right now.

Well, it is the fall now, maybe Ted decided to grow it back out.

I've been saving up this season's episodes to watch in a nice binge, so I certainly can't speak to any specifics, but I will say that by the end of last season I'd reached a point of not wanting any more B/R teasing and firmly feeling that it would be better for everyone for them to just be best bros and wingmen and the ones who helped each other to open up more and to move on. So I'm basically strongly predisposed to liking anyone who makes either of them happy.

And season one gooey! I miss season one gooey . . .

Honestly, I'm very much of a singular opinion in the fandom here, but I quite like what they are doing with both Barney and Robin right now. Barney's acting exactly like he should have done in a relationship with Robin, but we never got the chance to see it. Robin's lonely and sad and has found somebody she can chat to and connect with and she's being sassy and clever about it.

What's not to like?

Well, that all sounds promising to me! Maybe I'll try to get caught up this weekend, and we can be of a singular opinion together.

Agree and agree. Also, my head canon for Barney is because he's been raised by TV and movies, he bases his lifestyle on every tv trope known to mankind. Barney's brain basically operates on sitcom logic.

I like Kevin, and I thought him and Robin having breakfast together every morning for a week was sweet, but I still don't understand why they made him her therapist in the first place. It just adds a level of weird to it that didn't need to be there. If they wanted to get her to open up to someone, they could've had her open up to Kevin without him ever being her therapist. I'm hoping Kevin hangs out with the gang some, if only because I want to see Kal and NPH together.

Ted and Barney were fun, though, as they always are when they're together.

A social life! What is that? Mine has sadly been stagnant lately.
