I love James too, and the thought of Barney throwing Sam over his shoulder and running around... it tugs at my heartstrings. Big time.

Yeah, I really think there should be more of James in our fics, especially since James is a toddler right now and would be totally up for a bit of throwing over the shoulder!

And bless Robin still fancying 40 year old Barney. Mmmm.

I loved this! Especially the last scene with future!Barney and Robin. And Sam had a cameo... yay! And I also really liked the scene between the two of them where they talked about Shannon. I just love Barney and James together!

When he killed the guy, was it in self-defense? Or was that part of his job that we know nothing about? (Now I'm picturing Barney as a Jin-like assassin for the Mafia or something.)

Well, I felt guilty for all the death!fic and depressing ideas I've inflicted on you guys! :-)

I'm trying to get Sam into every story right now. ;-) Two year old Sam is teh cuteness!

Indeed. If only Barney HAD talked to Shannon. Things would have been so different.

It was in self defence. The guy was going to torture him with that knife and he knew it. If he hadn't shot him outright, Barney wouldn't have stood a chance against that big guy.

Gosh I really hope so! Wayne Brady is genius, I've been a fan since forever - his impromptu songs on "Who's line is it anyway" are brilliant! And his dancing. And facial expressions.

Aw. I loved pretty much everything about this. Let me list them.

1. Little!Barney and Little!James are adorable. It kind of makes me wonder what Barney was like when he was young, before he met Shannon.

2. There is both happy and sad. Happy because Barney's hilarious. "Because seriously, if I did that any more than I already am, I'm in danger of pulling it off completely." And then sad because he never did get to talk to her about it. :( But the interaction between Barney and James is awesome.

3. Damn, I REALLY want to know what Barney's job is. Now I kind of want a secret agent AU. Barney would make a crappy James Bond, but it'd be AWESOME.

4. Aw. James and Tom are so sweet, and I love Barney playing with toddler-Sam.

5. Haha. Scherbatsky and Stinson, still bro'ing it up. I love how Barney won't admit that he's forty, and how excited he is that Robin loves him. Plus, hot.

Any of these on their own would be awesome. All together, they're like, a whole LOT of awesome.

Yeah, I've got a tonne of ideas for Barney/James fic - a load of them. I'm wondering if I should write another series. James is such an amazing character. Speaking of which, I need a James icon! Preferably Barney and James! With "The Stinsons" written on it! Toddler Sam is adorable! I want Barney to take him to the park or the Zoo or something. Hey, he could ask Robin along! She'd freak out!

3 - I just think that Barney's into industrial espionage and illegal activity (smuggling, arms dealing etc) and that Altrucell is a cover.
