Warnings: The Aperture Science Enrichment Center would like to remind you that Android Hell is a real place, where you will be sent at the first sign of defiance.

All you see is a room. It's a blank, white washed room, void of anything else... Except a button on the floor. A giant red button. It is just sitting there ( Read more... )

[Then again there's nothing else to do here....so, why not? If not here someone else, right?

Just gonna slide on over here and step on it.]

[The instant she puts her weight on it, there is a huge clanging sound as the wall in front of her collapsed. Stretched out before her was a long stretching industrial hallway, and right before her, perched on a pedestal, was a device that almost looked like a huge white gun. There was something else though... Hanging from a railing on the ceiling was someone who the girl might just recognize.]

Oh, brilliant! I'm not alone. Hell--o... Wait a minute! I know you!

[he was just trying this whole dreamwalking thing out.

and he's not going to press the button.

like anyone would do something so obvious.]

Now how the hell do I get out of this place... [looking for an exit.]

[That exit that Cid was looking for doesn't exist. There is just white walls. There isn't even any visible light fixtures in the room. The only thing in the room is the button, sitting, waiting for someone to press it.]

[...yeah still not gonna press it.

maybe if he tried forming his spear and piercing those goddamn walls.

or just sit there and try to wake himself up.

okay maybe that latter one might work.

but not pressing button.]

[He pokes the walls, to no avail. The spear doesn't even manage to punch the smallest of holes.

C'mon. The button's the only way out.]

[BOOM! Down goes the wall in front of him, leading out into the long corridor to the testing track. Right before the new test subject was a pedestal, holding up the trademark Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, powered up and ready for the latest rounds of testing. Of course, who wants to test all alone?

As the wall fell, so did Wheatley, who had been hanging from one of the management rails in the ceiling right outside the room. He decided to hang in the wrong place at the wrong time, and got knocked clear off of his railing to the floor with a loud clang.]

OWWW some warning would be nice next time! At the very least a sign "Look out, wall swings outward" would be appreciated! It's not too much to ask!

Ah! Hey!

[Doing his best to try to roll his eye around to look at his 'attacker' Wheatley did indeed keep talking.]

Careful! Don't kick me! What if you break something?!

[Guess who is falling.

From the ceiling.

And directly onto that red button.

Yep.]

[Unfortunately, Wheatley had been coming through the ceiling and got disengaged, falling on it right at the same time as Space Core

... The walls floated away, and lo and behold, they were back in the Space Core's favorite place in the world, or... Outside of the world.

Space.

Wheatley stared in unrestrained terror out to the stars, and then back at his companion.]

This is android hell. I'm in android hell, aren't I?!

[Space Core lets out an excited gasp. Those millions of bright twinkling stars swimming in an endless sea of black... That could only mean---]

Space?!

[OMG YES IT IS!!! :D]

SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!

[Well this is some dream to walk into... Jensen walks around the room for a bit, searching for some kind of exit. He glanced over his shoulder once in a while to stare at the button.]

That thing is huge enough to be something out of a Saturday morning cartoon.

[Cartoonish or not, it's still sitting there, just waiting. Oh the tragedy, that such a beautiful button has not yet been pressed.]

[Nope, not going to mind it for just a liiiittle bit longer.

But eventually Jensen crouches down to the floor looking at the button.]

This place isn't going to blow up if I do this, right? [Push.]
