Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel welcomed their first child Walker Diggs at the beginning of the month and the actor recently explained to RadarOnline.com how they chose his name.

Alice Walker's daughter wrote a memoir a few years ago about being Black & Jewish... wonder if they've read it?!

That's so awsome that they were inspired by Alice Walker for the name. I loved The Color Purple
