Just Dessert

Well, it was inevitable, given the journal title... but this definitely deserves to be shared.
Cranachan

60g medium oatmeal
150g raspberries
4 tablespoons single malt whisky
4 tablespoons clear heather honey
600ml double cream

Toast the oatmeal in a low oven or under the grill until golden brown. Blend or sieve 50g of the raspberries to a smooth puree

Wicked and wonderful and scarily easy to make, and I bet it would be good with mead in place of the whisky, although I haven't tried that. Yet.
