As LJ seems to show continual disregard for its opinions of its userbase, and I'm honestly not involved with the LJ community at all outside of roleplay... Someone made a comment on sf_drama that I thought was quite relevant -- the western userbase of LJ =/= the Russian userbase. I'm not sure how the Russian userbase feel about the changes, but I was under the impression that recent changes have been geared towards them.

Well, according to those who can read Russian, they're split about 50-50 between 'OMG so modern' and the same complaints that the English-speaking userbase have been making. In any case, if they're going to solely pander to their Russian-userbase, that's fine, I just don't want to make this my main source of online entertainment any longer. So, dreamwidth. There's been a lot of friction in the LJRP community, too, so I'm going to see what happens with the games and the userbase there as well, because that's the only reason I'm ever on this site anymore anyway.

Mmmm. I can't forsee lolita migrating enmass to Dreamwidth -- it's come up for discussion before, and discarded as too hard. And fortunately, the whole comment-thing doesn't seem too relevant to my current fandom. I think I'm staying here for a while.
