This is amazing! Wonderful! And very brilliant *G*. I was wondering how Rod ended up with a MENSA meeting running, know everything Sheppard and this explains it perfectly *G*. And the whole deathly allergic to peanuts thing is hilarious too.

Thank you! I had to throw in an allergy, because, well, that's just kind of hysterical, y'know?

He's also learned that he really misses homogenized cheese. And that there is just no way to let Russian women down easy.

I adore the AU MENSA-Sheppard stuff, and you've done it so well! Brava!

Thanks! I'm kind of in love with the idea, myself, so it's good to see it worked for others, too!

Oh my god, I love this beyond all words! You've rendered me speechless. I adore military McKay/science Sheppard stories and collect them like beautiful jewels, and this is the jewel in the crown. Oh, darlin', thank you! I will read this many times.

Plus I love the style. Love every word. Thank you hugely.

You are a jewel, my dear. I sat on Min's floor last week and talked about how happy your Recording Angel series made me, and then when they drained the ZPM this week, I was like, "Mira! Mira must LOVE THIS!" ♥

when they drained the ZPM

Oh my god, I was all alone watching and squeaking with delight! I had to put my hands over my mouth for fear of waking my husband and housemate.

Of course, they've still got that stupid idea of harvesting stargates and making some kind of intergalactic bridge from Pegasus to the Milky Way, but I've been pondering the logistics of that, and it should take some time. Then there are the ZPMs the Asurans made/own, but they're tough cookies and Our Kids aren't exactly Big Damn Warriors and won't find it easy to steal from them. I hope.

In sum: YAY! No easy contact with Earth! Now if only the Daedalus would become the Deadalus.

And seriously, I love this story. I was thinking about it while I swam at lunch.

I am SO w/ you re: the Deadalus. WE CAN ONLY HOPE! Honestly, so they build this intergalactic bridge -- how do they hide it from the Wraith? Huh? Come on, explain that, SGA!

I am pleased that this little story entertained you during your swim.

So what are you so afraid of?

I'm afraid that I'm not sure of a love there is no cure for.

That's fair.

Also, I can't stop thinking about John Sheppard in ill-fitting tee shirts and wee glasses and tapered jeans. Because you KNOW HE WOULD.
