The scientists are the only ones responsible for bringing people into the city and sending them home, right? Do they do it randomly and as they see fit or are they acting in response to something that's happened in the city?

suddenly alone, also akito is a woman, scientists, mass family exodus

It is. But it seems a little more than mere coincidence when the cousins I was living with suddenly vanish. And Honda-san. Five of them in just one week....

Kisa was first... and then Shigure... and Honda-san, Rin, and Kyou all disappeared on the same day.

It's random... or if there is a pattern, it doesn't have shit to do with us.

So they just like seeing us suffer.

Tch. Hell if I know...what I do know is, most people don't wanna stay here.

Someone's home world would have to be pretty terrible to prefer this place to their home.

It seems to be random. [...] Although it may be worth looking into. Perhaps the pattern is subtle.

A method to their madness, in other words.

They do it in a systematic style in order to cause feelings of strife among the kidnapped.

Is that so?

It's the only logical explanation.

It appears random, but that suggestion may be incorrect. Most people have a reason behind each action, but none of us can understand what's going on in their heads.

I wonder if they have any reason for doing this at all, other than causing pain and suffering.

...Their motives aren't important, what matters are their actions.

There are people who wouldn't mind this if they knew what they were doing was beneficial to something positive.
