Have you ever wanted to make an icon that was creative, unique, and memorable? Have you ever wondered how people make icons that stick in your memory days after you seen them? Icons whose specters you just can't be rid of? Icons so glorious that you may never look at an icon the same way again ( Read more... )

It's like I can SEE a nice icon lurking in there somewhere... and it turns out it was the base. I hope no one actually USES this tutorial, or I shall have to kill myself out of shame.

Yeah that's a nice base, and step 2, after the selective color layer is pretty good too.

But after that, it went all downhill... albeit intentionally.

Now I'm just waiting for someone to spot it and post on ugly_icons, really.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been looking for a tutorial like that for AGES!
I didn't like the flower though, so I used one of my other favourite EFFECTS :DDDD
THANKS AGAIN! <33333

It's okay, please don't kill yourself. I couldn't resist, but I think I feel very unclean now.

WOW, that's my favourite effect too! I love it to no end!

It's GREAT, isn't it? Having body parts growing out of your face is TOTALLY the BEST way to emphasise natural beauty! :DDD

Yours is even more gorgeous than mine, if such a think is possible. I love the face-on-face effect.

I love you for this, really. If you really want to see if people will actually try this, you could remove the mention of your real tutorial in the post at icon_tutorial.

I saw the post at icon_tutorial and wondered for a moment if some one could really be that... (I'm looking for a nicer word for stupid.) The first step was great and then you showed too much knowledge of PS to be real. So I came here and wanted to hug you.

I hope you don't mind, but I posted it to ugly_icons. As praise, that is, because that community must love you for this.

Thanks!

I'm afraid to. I thought about it... but I'm afraid to.

Oh damn. I tried so hard to hide it, too!

I tried to do that sort of explaining through the entire tutorial (since I see so many people on i_t asking how to start using their graphics programs/create a new image/type text/whatever) but it was just too painful.
