It's so nice to see this kind of icon tutorials again. I was starting to get fed up with coloring tutorials. Playing with textures is much more fun than playing with color layers. Thanks for sharing!

The secret is that I'm just terrible at playing with color layers XD I'm glad you appreciate it though! I've missed seeing tutorials like this too, hence why I ended up writing one :]
