Okay, so I gotta try..

does the irony have something to do with -
A) flowers - considering Arizona's choice of surgical head attire, or
B) Callie prancing around another house *cough cough* in her underwear not so long ago?

I gotta try, you know. :P

The obvious guess as to what the irony is is the fact that Callie was planning to propose to Arizona while Arizona was setting this whole thing up to propose to Callie... but I think that's a bit too obvious. Is it the orchids? There was a patient a while back whose face was horribly disfigured from an accident and Mark did a face transplant. The guy and his friends loved orchids. I know I'm pulling at invisible strings with that one, though. Another thing that I thought it could be is that when Derek was originally going to propose to Mer, he spread a whole bunch of rose petals around the room, similar to the numerous orchids. And Shonda's always comparing Callie/Arizona to MerDer. idk... I'm going to stop rambling now.
