This is how I chose the pairings for these drabbles.
DAY 01: Write ten lines of dialogue between two characters who had drunken sex last night and are not talking about it. Ever. → Minho/Krystal
“So, the weather!”
“The weather’s been looking good these days.”
“Yeah. Breezy.”
“Not too hot, or too cold. Just… right.”
The type of weather that makes you want to sleep naked and-”
“Yeah, that didn’t sound right.”
“What should we talk about then? Wrestling?”
“You mean sweaty bodies crashing into one another and-”
“Okay, you made your point.”
“So… the weather?”
DAY 02: Write a scene in four sentences in which two characters bond over something that would seem trivial to a passerby. → Jinwoon/Jiyeon
They have an argument about nuts on the last day of shooting. Jinwoon thinks almonds are better, while Jiyeon disagrees. She thinks Macadamian nuts are crunchier, juicier and it launches the whole conversation into other dimensions it shouldn’t even enter.
Still, it’s better than talking about things that you’d rather not say - things like skin and skin touching just so at each touch or of lingering smiles throughout the day.
DAY 03: Write seven sentences from the perspective of a passerby witnessing DAY TWO's scene. → Lina-centric (implied!Yunho/Lina)
She takes walks more often these days that she’s lost count. And it’s by accident that she overhears the debate that goes on between the hallyu stars. She managed to stumble in, but no one recognizes her and so they don’t shoo her away. It hurts a little to be overlooked, but somehow she’s become used to it and instead she finds it’s endearing that two people could be so attracted to the other and not know it yet.
It reminds her of how easy it was to hide behind the blare of lights, and how hard it is to live your life without them. Seoul is beautiful, but sometimes she forgets that when she walks towards spots where he used to take her - under lights that bounce off his hair and hers.
She forgets because it makes her bitter (for a lost love) and bitterness doesn’t suit well for her.
DAY 04: Write a character's reaction to someone's love confession in one sentence. → Yunho/BoA (implied... well, you know.)
“Thank you” might be the worst thing you could say after a confession like that, but somehow Yunho doesn’t think he can say anything else as he turns away from BoA - after all, it’s not easy to say the words back when your heart still belonged to someone else.
DAY 05: Write a scene in eight sentences in which someone's going through his/her version of "It's a Wonderful Life." → Kyuhyun/Younha
They throw curses and plates at each other when they fight, breaking glass at each shout and wounding souls at each frustrated sigh. They fight more than they love, and it kills him a little bit each and every day because it’s not them - they are not like this, they are not her parents.
“Fuck you. I’m leaving!”
“Fine!”
“Fine!”
He goes to sleep with a broken heart, and his dreams become nightmares of what his life would be without her. The next day, he wakes up to the smell of bacon and hot coffee, and his girl standing over the stove.
She kisses him before he can speak and somehow… all is well.
DAY 06: Write a scene in six sentences in which a character is searching for someone in the last moments of the end of the world. → Changmin/Yoona
The room is colder than it should be, and Changmin finds her key on the floor. The metal feels too heavy in his hand, weighing his arm down as his steps speed up and he tumbles through the door. It’s been a year since they’d decided to separate but somehow he doesn’t think he can handle being alone.
He calls and waits as her phone rings and rings and rings.
“We were stupid, don’t you think? I love you, come back to me.”
DAY 07: Write a breakup scene in three sentences without giving the reason for it or using dialogue. → Sehun/Krystal
“You’re taking this better than I thought you would.”
Krystal watches him grin and shrug his shoulder, letting out a breath as he leaned back against the wood of her dorm’s front door.
“I didn’t think we’d last anyway.”
DAY 08: Write two characters' second kiss in two sentences. → Kyuhyun/Sooyoung
The kiss comes after an argument and in between meals, at a corner store just outside the SM building. Neither of them is surprised when she pulls away, or that Kyuhyun stops her just so and slips his tongue between her lips again - what surprises them though is that this time, the kiss wasn't out of a bet.
DAY 09: Ask flist for prompts. Asked my sister: First fight, first make-up. Three sentences. → Myungsoo/Suzy
“Suzy - I brought you a sandwich.” I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. “Thanks, and I love you too.”
DAY 10: Use these lyrics as a prompt: "There's only now/There's only here/Give in to love/Or live in fear" ("Another Day" from RENT) and write a story in nine sentences. → Taeyeon/Junsu
He calls and calls, and for once she decides to pick up just for the hell of it. She doesn’t speak but that’s okay. He’d rather she listen than shut him off.
“You probably hate me and I don’t blame you. But I want you to know that I left because I wanted to, even it meant losing us. It was the best decision I could have made, you know. Because at least now I know what I really want and what I really want right now till forever is you. Do you think you feel-”
She doesn’t let him finish, “Yeah, I do.”
Author's Note: This was written out of boredom exactly one hour, five minutes and 23 seconds ago. This was supposed to be done in days, but I thought - what the hell, why not do everything in one seating. Some of them don't really make sense, lol but this was fun!
