I love these journal stories. Kiley's so pretty. I look forward to getting her perspective, although her home life sounds like it'll be a pretty sad story.
Thank you. #^^# Actually, when I was writing about Ripp and Johnny star gazing together, I was thinking about -your- Ripp and Johnny, like they might have ended up like yours did if Ripp hadn't moved, and I added the bit about Johnny wanting to be an astronaut, because yours currently is. ^_~
Oh *^_^* thank you for referencing my Ripp and Johnny. Before my Johnny became an astronaut, I imagined him wanting to visit his relatives, too. But you wrote it so beautifully.
Though there are many, many parts of this story that are emotionally affecting, the part where Ripp talks about the stars as his friends is what really chokes me up.
I've re-read this a few times now and it always gets me. T_T
Oh wow, I absolutely love what you've started. I love how much you've captured each character, everyone's different viewpoint, everything! It's all great :D
I'm excited to see more. Kileyis going to have an interesting story...
AWWWW RIPP. This is as wonderful as I thought it'd be, and well worth the wait. I like how you incorporate bits of Simmishness -- plat-boost user, having bolts for someone, age transitions, the substitutions for curses... and of course, you have a gift for vivid phrases.
My favorites: Seems to the Old Man that there ain’t no problem so tough that it can’t be shouted at, So, I’m kinda looking forward to the time when he gives the Old Man a heart attack by joining the Navy instead of the Army, I’ve heard just about every damn off-color joke there is to tell at one time or another whenever the Old Man has his military buddies over and they all get to drinkingIt's so sweet how Ripp hangs out near the river, and his crush on Johnny, and blossoming one on Dustin, is so adorable. The way he describes his depression is really true to life, and makes me hurt for him. I just want to give him a huge hug and loads of attention and maybe some presents and he can come live with me and I won't ever yell at him and I'll find him some nice

Ooo! Thank you so much for such nice comments! *hearts* It really means a lot to me. And hee heh! I'm sure Ripp would love hugs and presents and a nice guy!

I'm real excited for Kiley's journal entry too. Question though: are you going to go back to Dustin & Ripp? Or are these sort of one-shot things?
