I've never heard of Sin Huat, but given that it's a 1 1/2 hour wait for the food, I'm not sure it's worth the wait leh. Surely there are other places that serves crab beehoon that's maybe only slightly less good? I mean, after waiting 90 minutes, a lot of things will taste good.
But that sign? Is a classic.
PS. And I can't go for the KoC concert after all due to work, so I won't be able to say hi to the happening mama whose kid will surely grow up to have excellent taste in music.
PPS. You know what song gets my feet itchy? Cloud Room's "Hey Now Now", which I had gotten from you at some point weeks (months?) ago. What a great song! And they sound so British some more, that I can't believe they're from New York!
I've been there three times and I didn't know it was that famous until I googled it last night. I thought the same thing too, that when you're starving, any crap would taste good. But seriously, the moment we finished, we were left wanting more. And I kept thinking about it today. Weird. I swear they put drugs in the bee hoon.
Awww, no KoC concert? What about your ticket? Work sucks.
"Hey Now Now" is such an infectious pop song! I always think that it must surely qualify for some The Greatest Song You've Never Heard list out there. Hehehe, your comment about their "Brit-ness" reminds me of a colleague of mine who just discovered Interpol - he couldn't believe they're from New York either.
PS. I'll try but I don't think I'm going to write about my Sydney trip. I kinda hate writing in my free time coz I write for a living. Witness the brief and inane LJ posts.
Okay, I'm semi-sold! I'll give that place a shot when I'm not feeling particularly hungry, or have a good sudoku puzzle in hand. :)
Yeah, it really sucks, cos when I bought the KoC ticket, the work trip was gonna be a week after the concert, but it had to be pushed forward. Anyway, my friend has helped me sell it off - apparently it's hot property since the concert is already a sell-out.
Yup, it's bloody infectious, more than the flu. And someone (out there) should totally compile that list, although music can be such a subjective matter. But really, what is with these New Yawkers these days??! It's great though - I love Cloud Room's sound.
I understand what you mean. Maybe pics then? And do you mind me asking what stuff you write about for your living? It'll be a shame if you don't write about music.
