Aaron and I had V Day dinner at this dinghy eating house at Geylang, home to brothels and fantastic food. Sin Huat is one of those establishments where the concept of service is decidedly absent, where skinny stray cats lurk around for scraps and where you have to ward off the not-so-occasional insect. You know, casual dining. Its crab beehoon (rice vermicelli) is legendary. So is the substantial waiting time. We had to wait 10 minutes to place our order and one-and-a-half hours for the piece de resistance. When it finally came, all frustration was forgotten. I kid you not. On the way back, we had a chuckle over the
signboard of this store. We're easily amused. I thought it was a lot funnier in Chinese though.
