Nodame Cantabile is the first Japanese anime that I've ever watched. It's different from the typical North American cartoon, that's for sure.

i'm turning 30 in about 30 minutes. i'm having mixed feelings about turning 30 and all. perhaps it's just that once we get to a certain age, the point of celebrating the birthday seems less significant and less important... for me it's just another day. i'd rather just celebrate on my own quietly on another continent ( Read more... )

thinking back,  the last time i was bed-ridden was probably during the summer. as a result of a number of factors, my immune system was down and thus i easily got sick.  i remember calling in sick for a number of days because the flu simply was the victor.  it had been a while since i've been so weak.
