Ugh. Didn't they (er. if you went to a doctor?) have you start putting drops in the uninfected eye to stave off infection? It's been a long time since my last bout with it, but I remember that even though I did end up with it in both eyes, the second one was way less horrible than the first because it was being medicated before it was symptomatic in the first place. (Course, given the nastiness of the first one, it's a low standard to be less gross than that...)
Blargh. The last time I went to the eye doctor for an infection, he gave me a prescription, then told me the infection was probably viral and antibiotics wouldn't do any good. I was like... uh, thanks?
I just got the drops last night. My eyes are doing better.
My boss treats this as if it were my fault, and therefore I deserve no consideration. She's frustrated that I'm taking any time off at all to recover. Tried to pressure me to go to a doctor on my own dime. Not out of concern but just to get me back in the gears, because I was messing up her scheduling. "What am I supposed to do about the schedule?!"
I have more serious medical problems that I'm neglecting because I don't have insurance. Sigh.
