This year's IBARW will take place between July 27 through August 2.

Please do let me know if they overlap with major holidays though!

Do we have a twitter presence? Do we want one?

Hrm, so far, no re: having a presence.

I don't know if we want one? I guess we could post the link to "drop a link here," but I feel most of the other content is too long for twitter?

I was more thinking the linkdropping aspect, with hash tags and the like. I should have been clearer, sorry!

So, both the "please submit!" post, and links to other posts as they come in. Tagging things both #ibarw and #race, plus other appropriate tags. (For me, I'm hoping to write about #FirstNations and #disability related topics, for example.)

Ohhhh huh! Sorry, am a total Twitter newbie and have no idea how to use it.

So would it be people posting their own or other people's links as #ibarw and it being compiled on the delicious? Or I guess the IBARW Twitter could post each link as they get them, but then I worry about spamming ppl with 40 some posts a day. Or possibly that is the entire point of Twitter ;).

Another silver lining to the layoff: I have time to help this year! I know not the mysterious workings of del.icio.us, but if I can get some basic instructions, I'm very happy to be a link-compiler.

Also just posted about it in my own journal -- hope it sends some folks your way.

Ohhhh, that would be awesome! I also need to do a delicious tagging write-up for the taggers anyway.

Cool. I'll peruse the comm info and start thinking about where to look for the good stuff. (:

Unfortunately, I can't help this year. Best of luck, though.

August 1st is the Swiss National Holiday! (I'm mostly teasing you - even my mom, who is Swiss-American, doesn't 'celebrate' in any real way, and I don't think LJ has a huge traditional Swiss-readership or anything).

I will think about what posting I can do. Thank you for continuing to do this!
