Fantastic. So...um, I don't know the word. Delicate? Rythmic? It flows like the water does. Incredible. This is like, the fifth time I'm reading it and every time I see something new. It's like a little box of wonders.
I also have a question,if it's not an imposition. This reminds me of the world is no longer green, one of my favorite stories here; the characters- the fox's gender is different, but I've heard they can shift that-are they the same?
And this is actually different from the tengu gang from "the world is no longer green". There seem to be overlaps (down to the child's body in the kappa's lake ahahah orz), but "fake glass skies" is a stand-alone with different casts.
I enjoyed that a lot - the imagery, the understated emotions, and the use of Japanese mythology worked together to create a very quiet, powerful piece. Lovely work. ^^
