It is at any rate essential to a genuine fairy-story, as distinct from the employment of this form for lesser or debased purposes, that it should be presented as "true."

Sporadic and all over the place, this story was chilling. The author has mixed a lot of different tales into one an did a great job at keeping them interweave while remaining a steady flow of noir and fatalistic words; I think the illustration artist rendered that well in the uneasy, shape-forming shadows behind a seemingly uncaring pale girl that, still, wears on her back this world of hers - of ours. Good work to you both!

Wow. That was an extremely original and mesmerizing mix of fairytale, suspense, and shopaholic knowhow. Your descriptions were surreal, yet they conjured up the perfect imagery. It was interesting, and disturbing. Very impressive.

And the artwork is gorgeous, too. I particularly like the way the girl was colored.

Oh, lovely. I adore the mixing of so many fairy tales, but each with a modern twist. The language is gorgeous here, both horrifying and beautiful. Excellent story, so vivid for so short.

The art is also amazing. I adore the contrasts of the pale colors of the girl and the grays and blacks of the monster behind her. I like how soft and fuzzy the girl feels. Awesome.
