Three Sentence Fic-athon

So it looks like, sadly, CaramelSilver will not be doing the three-sentence ficathon this year. I've watched her journal almost daily this month and she appears to not be coming back. Sadness. After rereading the fics I've contributed over the past few years to each ficathon, I was really hoping to see one for this year

The hit comes hard, but Matt's pass is completed; in the ensuing celebration of the victory no one notices him slow to get up, clutching the side of his chest. Adrenaline sweeps over him (the playoffs!) and he joins the team in jumping and hollering and hugging, the pain in his side temporarily forgotten. Later, at home, when the adrenaline is gone, he winces with each breath, relieved that this injury went unnoticed; after all, it was a small price to pay.
