I was at a wedding yesterday prior to Commons, and I refer to the only painting in the reception hall.
It bugged the crap out of me because the painter obviously knew enough to get most details right, but still painted the sails in a bizarre orientation not found in nature. The sails on the main and the mizzen were are right angles to each other.
She had a jib, three square sails on her mainmast, three again on her mizzen, and a spanker. Her jib and mainmast sails were positioned as if the wind were roughly to the right-hand side of the painting, but her mizzenmast sails were positioned as if the wind were exploding out of the background. Worse, that disloyal spanker sided with the mainmast.
The picture probably came out fine, it's an 8 megapixel camera. Should have everything uploaded tomorrow or Tuesday, I have to buy a new card reader as the Coral House ate our old one.
