Well that was sad. You have to wonder what it must have been like for her, if anything of herself was still there after the semi-conversion. What a horrendous prospect, to be in that position. She kind of gets short-shrift mostly, and probably that's just as well, because maybe it's just too awful to contemplate.

I wanted to show that Lisa could have been completely gone during that episode and the cyberman was screwing with Ianto's emotions

In some ways hope she WAS already gone, for her sake anyway, but then it would mean that Ianto was being tricked and manipulated all along, and I think realising that might come close to breaking him.
