I do pity Rhiannon in a way. Her mind is so closed to anything outside of her experience that she refuses to even consider that Jack might be telling her the truth.

And as you say, because of that she will never get to to know her nephew, all that is left of her brother, but more than that, she will never know the man her brother had become, a man Jack could have told her so much about if only she didn't reject her brother's lover so completely. Well, it's her loss. At least Jack has little Ianto to bring joy and a sense of purpose to his otherwise empty life.

Thank you. Hope you enjoyed this journey, even if it had a less than overall happy ending. Jack doesn't have to worry about his son.

Maybe eventually Rhi will come around. Right now she's just taking in the fact that Jack really did love her brother. She has a lot of her own daemons to face about how her relationship was lacking with Ianto

*sniff!!!*

This is just a beautiful fic. Jack does have Ianto with him - in their son, Ianto lives on....

Thank you. So glad you liked this. And Jack is always going to cherish his son, wanting to make Antonio proud of him.

Antonio? Or Ianto Sr? erm... that sounds kinda weird referring to Ianto as Senior. But I guess that's what he is in this fic, yes?

That's should have just said Ianto. Autocorrect has a mind of its own if I don't pay close attention to it. Jack wants to make Ianto proud of him and how he is raising their son.

Maybe one day Rhi will come around, she needs to work out her own issues - until then little Ianto doesn't need any negative influences in his young life.

Thanks.

Yes, hopefully she will come to terms with everything. She has guilt over her relationship with Ianto. Jack will do anything and everything to keep his son happy.

So sad. Rhi will miss out on the best part of Ianto and little Ianto will miss out knowing about his Tad as a child. But I'm glad that Jack will do a great job raising little I.

Thanks.

Yes, Rhi has her own problems to work through before she can be a part of little I's life. I love writing Jack as the doting dad.

Rhi keeps harping about what Jack did to her brother when she really doesn't have a clue what she's talking about. I was so afraid she was going to make a huge scene in front of Ianto and scare the poor boy to death. That wouldn't be a good first impression on her nephew. Her unfounded hatred of Jack is stealing precious time she could be spending with Ianto's son. She finally sees that Jack really did love Ianto and still does, but now she needs to open her mind to the things she's been told and open her heart to the people who were important to Ianto.

I'd love to see an update on this to see if she eventually pulls her head out of the sand and accepts Jack and Ianto into the family.

I think Rhi s manifesting a lot of her guilt of her lack of a close relationship with Ianto onto the person whom Ianto was closest to. She's making baby steps, realising that Jack will always love Ianto. Though the whole man having a baby with another man w/ no female assistance is still a large leap to believe. Jack said even Ianto didn't believe him that he could get pregnant.

I have an idea for an update, but just got to work out if my idea is even possible.
