Jack wants to make Ianto proud and wants to be the best dad he can be, making up for not having another parent around.
We will see what Gwen does tomorrow.

Yes Rhi believing will dictate where things go. This is what happens when Ianto let his family believe he was a civil servant. Not that he could tell the truth.

So maybe she does miss Ianto, but what she feels is nothing compared to what Jack feels. Ianto was Jack's lover, his partner, but he was Gwen's colleague.
It's up to Jack whether or not he lets Rhiannon get to know her nephew. I'm glad they're happy and settled in Glasgow.

And Gwen is not thinking what Jack went through. She knows how he treated Ianto his last few days and he will always feel guilty for that and not being able to admit the truth of his feelings as Ianto was dying. Though I am of the camp that Jack really did say I love you when he told the 456 that he would take it all back, but not to take Ianto.
Glasgow is like a fresh start for them.

This is so true. Poor Jack, getting whacked with all the memories *and* Gwen poking her nose in his business.

Gwen cannot fathom what Jack has been going through. She immediately thought the worst of him and Jack is partially responding to that.
