My car died. Sudden overheating followed shortly by the engine cutting out as I pulled into my parking spot. I am grateful that the car made it to the spot before dying. It won't start anymore. I suspect it is some sort of water pump/timing belt issue

Yeah, and there is no way I will pay that much to fix this wonderful car. Its 20 years old and has 280k miles. It is a good car, but currently lacks A/C, radio, windows that roll down properly. I may fix it up a bit, but still should probably start looking at something newer

Normal earrings or the kinds that stretch the earlobes out?

Sucks about the car. XD but, hey, biking is probably better for you anyways, right?

The kind that stretch my earlobes out. Nothing huge, but enough to allow me to wear carvings and eventually some pretty jade pieces and whatnot. Currently 6g. I'm thinking of making them larger eventually.

biking is fine, but it doesn't get me out of Davis. It won't get me to the City, won't get me to the Jade festival and won't carry all of my fire equipment. blah!
