Well, they have to pay for the brand-new stadium somehow.

And it was so sad to pull up (on the 7 train), and realize that the expansive new parking lot with the different color black-top was atop the grave of the old Shea Stadium. Sad.

How disappointing.

Have you tried going to see the Cyclones in Coney Island? It may not have the panache of City Field, but it's a lot of fun -- and it's a lot cheaper.

Yep, we've seen them. It's a real trip, single A ball. We had fun, and I'm not knocking them. But this was a case of "we haven't seen the new stadium yet, so let's try it out"...
