A new community for original characters in QAF fanfiction
I have set up a new community called QAF Odd Numbers.
I appreciate the amazing original characters created by the talented and creative writers of the QAF fandom, and I wish to encourage the writers to introduce their creations to the readers and ask the readers to give these characters a chance.

Theme, Genre and Summary
When I look for a story to read I have to decide on scant information whether to read a fic or not. There is the title, the summary, and the writer. The title of the story rarely tells anything to me. The writer may be the deciding factor. There are writers that I never read again, and those from whom I read every new story. Point of View (POV) and Author's Note
In fanfiction it's customary to give the POV person in an author's note. I don't see the need for such a note. It's never done like that in published books. Regardless, I always know who the POV person is.
Why has that unnecessary author's note become so common in fanfiction?

A Good Fanfiction Summary
What makes a good fanfiction summary?
The answer can easily be found if one thinks about the function of a summary. It's purpose is to tempt the reader to read the whole fic. There has to be something that hooks the reader.
