Challenge: September - Thank You & October - Long Distance
I'm a little behind the times as October apparently sneaked up on me! EEP! The beginning of October brings our September challenge of Silk to a close (although you can always use it as a prompt if you are so inclined. *smiles*) Thank you so much to rodlox who showed us a different glimpse into how Ian and Nikki met and many thanks to emmademarais who posted the very first het/slash fic here at the community with her delicious Ian/Nikki/Charlie fic. Keeping with the simpler approach this month, we've got a new theme for you that will hopefully generate some more of that Ian/Nikki love we crave.
The theme for October is: Long distance.
A relationship is difficult enough without one being a sniper always on the hunt and an FBI Agent dedicated to the job - first brought together by their occupation, igniting a spark, then cruelly being separated by the inevitable distance of the job. How do they make it work? Do they make it work? Are there weekly phone calls when Ian can find the time? Or is the only time they connect when he rolls back into town... assuming Nikki's not found someone else?
And long distance doesn't have to be a physical separation. Perhaps something has happened that is keeping Ian and Nikki apart, even as they stand together in the same room - whether it be a case, or a co-worker with a watchful eye. Oh my! Whump, angst, drama, passion, schmoop, romance and dirty little secrets... if it's Ian & Nikki, it's welcome here.
