We sat around the table in silence. All of us knew that what Greg had suggested was the best possible option, but none of us knew what to say about it ( Read more... )

Not sure if it's heroic or foolish to have thrown yourself on the demon bomb for a vampire.

At any rate it was a solution.

I'm an idiot. I think it's as simple as that. The worst part is that I'm not as upset as I should be at the way it all ended because it was Ruth instead of me. What kind of person does that make me?

Yes.  But I think everyone knew the risk so you weren't the only idiot.  You were one of the idiots to survive to tell the tale.  I do not think there was any way to get out of this without some major sacrifice of a life.  It's how it was designed I think.  For that matter the grand supreme master of all things created is in fact an idiot.  God has no clue what he is doing you know?  No sweet fucking clue.

I wouldn't beat yourself up too much over it.

God is an idiot? The Bible makes him out to be a selfish tyrant who demands that the world to follow him blindly without question. I'm not a believer anyhow. Lifelong atheist here.

It's easier to stop beating myself up over what happened when I have the most beautiful private stretch of beach just outside my front door and access to enough liquor to make me forget my own name. We all have our own ways of coping with tragedy.

Wow...That....was absolutely stunning. The story like your writing ability is wonderful.

I don´t think you could resist Lestat or any vampire, my darling...No offense. xD

Thank you.

And again this would depend upon what it is that I would be trying to resist. Blood? No, I could never turn away from that if it were offered to me.

Your welcome.

First blood, then more blood, then something else....It always starts with the light drugs. (I hope you also use "light"/"easy" drug in engl.)

I use a lot of drugs, but blood has been the most helpful in easing the pain.

Glad you are still around. I don't think I could have made that decision. The whole thing was terribly foolish and crazy.

Thank you, Whiteroses. I'm glad I'm still around as well. I've made my share of mistakes in my lifetime, but in the end, I knew that I wanted to live.

Sure thing, Ian. You can call me Roses if you wish. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance again. I think we can all attest to that statement. Who can say they haven't made their fair share of mistakes? Survival is human nature.

Ah, I thought we had met before. My memory fails me sometimes and I apologise for that. It is a pleasure, of course. Yes, it's only human to make mistakes and I have paid for most of them.

I didn't think that I wanted to continue living until death had me in his arms. Do you think that we always choose life no matter what?
