I looked up the meaning of 'morass'. Some time ago I asked you about a very muddy road and how people traveled by truck or car through the mud and I think you said something about putting trees in the morass...or am I wrong?

So a morass is a swamp or marsh. And the trees you have posted today are in a morass? Now I understand.

I also have photos of a swamp close to the Air Force Base not far from me which you found on Google Earth. I should post them.

hm i thought that 'morass' was the right word
also i know 'marsh' and 'swamp' and these words look identical to me
what i am missing here?

yes you remember quite right
we have roads made through morasses(swamps) made of logs
i see word 'corduroy' in a dictionary but it look strange for me
