They are lovely birds. They're fairly territorial, so if you see one around your home from day to day, it tends to be the same one. They don't swoop you or anything, but they "dance" on fixed lines, like fences, curbs or road markings, making chit chit chit noises, warning other birds and animals away. They're bigger than sparrows, but only by about a half.

at least they're cute! we've had this bloody crow that has decided that every morning he has to stand and tap loudly at the boys' room french window. until someone wakes up and then it flies away! it started about a week ago. i'm talking about 5am ish. no idea why!

LOL I've always loved Willy Wagtails! They're so cute with their bopping out to music only they can hear!

Hmmm...Wikipedia says that the aborigines suggest that women be silent when Willie Wagtail is around because it likes to steal secrets! You two don't have any secrets, do you??? ;-)

Maybe you should send him my way. I think he'd fit right in with my menagerie! Two cats, a rabbit, and a Willy Wagtail and every single one of them annoying dear old dad! ;-)
