Funny things: in a room decorated with tapestries about America's Test Kitchen I was able to pray to Anyajay; I read a scroll of Righteousfist and heard the sounds of wine in the distance; and I fled for may life from Foxbat (which only seems appropriate).

I found that I was able to defeat some much tougher monsters once I'd picked up the right kind of wand. They don't have many charges though, so I had to pick my fights.
