I have a concept for a new novel about which I am very very excited indeed. However, I do need to finish my current novel before working on this one, but it has spurred me on to complete this.

Not sure of the genre - kind of (very) dark thriller, I think.

Working title - "Sins"

John Hughes, the producer, writer and director whose 1980s films such as "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983), "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986), "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" (1987) and "Home Alone" (1990) has died following a heart attack. He was 59.

Award-winning writer Frank McCourt has died at the age of 78.

He was suffering from meningitis and had recently been treated for skin cancer.
