Have you ever reached the point of getting so sick of receiving bullshit emails that you decide to dedicate an entire weekend to unsubscribing from them? Yes, that's the highlight of my days off.

I should be celebrating the news that I received a $1.40 raise, but my rent went up $100 per month. There honestly isn't any way to get ahead these days

I have been contemplating ditching my email entirely bc I get so much spam. The struggle is real!

I’m sorry your rent went up. Expenses hold so many of us down. The struggle here is also too real. I don’t know what we are supposed to do about rising costs - it’s tough enough keeping fed these days.

Woohoo for the raise! But yeah, I get not really getting "ahead". I make more money than I ever expected in income, but damn if I don't spend it and then some... (granted I am spending on animals and trips I don't *need*).
Just no matter how little or how much you make...always pay yourself first - even if $20 here and there. Advice that finally stuck with my son.🙂

I'm currently totally on "me" mode. I have been since the pandemic. I opted for a job that offered more time off than money. I stay single so that time isn't shared. I'm a selfish son of a bitch is what I am.
