Back in the day, there was an AIM bot called TheGreatHatsby that would create an AIM conversation between two strangers by striking it up with "I say old bean, have you seen my hat?" And then the two puzzled users would chat it out from there

I believe that Hat and Salmon are actually scripted by different people. There was a third one as well.
