I just got AIM-Botted!
Back in the day, there was an AIM bot called TheGreatHatsby that would create an AIM conversation between two strangers by striking it up with "I say old bean, have you seen my hat?" And then the two puzzled users would chat it out from there.
After a while, the bot's name shifted through many other things, still referencing a Hat somewhere in the AIM name.
Now, it seems, it has shifted to Salmon.

I think we've been hit by the Hat Bot! That hasn't happened to me in months!

On my aim it shows Booming Salmon. That's so strange that it showed up different copied. T_T

I wonder if the lj'er therein referenced is aware they're botspam fodder.
