Sent to the principal's office

I got a letter last week or so asking me to come down to Unemployment to verify that I was eligible to receive benefits. I got a similar letter last year, so I figured it was something most people got and didn't worry about it. I know I'm eligible; I have proof on paper. What computer skills do you feel are lacking? MS Office?

Notes from the Spin department:
Being a Mac girl at home is a bonus, not a limit: "Has experience with multiple operating systems."

Same thing with all of the proprietary software. "Has excellent learning skills for use and application of custom business software."

The common wisdom is that everything you put on your resume needs to be accurate, true, and beneficial to you. The above don't conflict with that. If they look interesting to an interviewer, they will ask - and then you've got the opportunity to talk. When you can talk, you can win. People hire people, not resume's.

Office, yes. I'm not entirely sure what all is a part of Office. I have decent Word experience, some Excel experience (that's part of what's holding me back, but I fixed it--I do have a solid year under my belt. Hooray for playing around with spreadsheets when I was bored! But I don't know anything more than basic formulas), a little Access, and Outlook was our email system. I have very little experience with PowerPoint, save for forwards. My last job didn't use it. THANK GOD. I HATE POWERPOINT. It is SO CHEESY. Perhaps it's because of the forwards--something already cheesy gets put into a cheesy medium; my lactose intolerance kicks up--but seriously. I have never seen anything truly decent-looking come out of PowerPoint. It saves time for presentations, sure. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP ( ... )
