Still unwilling to tell me more about that?

You can try yourself.

It just takes wanting to understand instead of feeling threatened. It... not that you will get a response, I admit, but it might help more in the long run.

I have no desire to speak with them.

I'm just wondering why you do.

Because I don't want to jump into viewing them as a threat. I'd much rather know why they're here.

I've never heard of ghosts without faces.

I didn't realise there were hard and fast rules to ghosts.

It's not a rule, it's just something I'd never heard of.

I have heard of headless ghosts. Usually they want to steal the heads of the living.

Oh my...

...why is it always a threat? Why must it be that they want to steal something?

Maybe they want justice. Maybe they want to be remembered. Maybe they want us to know something.

That's just what I said! Ghosts, even the scary ones, are mostly there because they don't know how to leave. At least that's how it is in all the stories I've heard. And these ones haven't done any harm to anyone directly, have they? They're just... there.

And perhaps a victim of their environment as much as we are right now.

They don't know how to leave, or have something they're staying for.

They would have to have been here before, in life, then, wouldn't they?

Perhaps. Or perhaps this is where they get stuck.

That's not necessary. I'm here, and I'm fine. I've got a bit of a headache, but that's it.

Are you absolutely sure?

If anything changes, I'm here to help.

Pretty certain.

Why do you think they're ghosts at all?

Seems to be a general theory.

And, to be perfectly honest, I do have experience.

You believe in ghosts too?

Depends how we define a ghost.

And... I am a man of science. But things happen that I cannot truly explain.

But everything can be explained. You have to ask the right people the right questions.

I know. But some things I cannot explain just yet, and do not know who to ask.
