I wonder sometimes if half the people on my Friends List are too young to remember what it was like to own a primitive computer with crappy graphics and still be completely immersed in the games. :-)
Added to that was the distinct inconvenience of no-one having invented the internet yet. These were the days when you still had to buy *magazines* for news about your favourite TV shows. I used to pore over Doctor Who Magazine and Starburst / TV Zone every month.
