I think they owe us two more apiece. And then you can buy me lunch.

Coins? They gave you coins?

Like those curse token ones they were giving in exchange for the essays?

Not at all like that, but not City money, either. They appear to be pennies from somewhere.

That's odd. What do you think could be the deal?

[ That was a familiar voice… the man from the other day who told him, in a ‘round about fashion’ about his little recording… ]

A coin on the tongue is a ‘Greek’ tradition…? That is another ‘Earth’ location isn’t it?

[A stab in the dark… these deities do seem obsessed with Earth. ]

I come from a planet called Autozam.

Ah! Interesting place, or so I've heard.

The coins are supposedly placed in the mouths or over the eyes of the recently deceased upon burial in order to pay for their passage across the river that divides the living world from that of the dead.

I'm a bit hesitant to call this a proper curse, though.

How long... was it kept in your person?

i_themagician July 27 2010, 02:10:30 UTC
Potentially the entire length of time I was asleep. I'd be more concerned if I weren't dead already.

I don't know, exactly. Nine?

Why do you ask?

A Greek tradition, Clow-san? Do you think the deities are using different cultures from different worlds?

That was the first one that came to mind. I'm admittedly a little vague on the details, though. It's possible.

I will look into it, if you don't mind. I see. We have proven that they do have strong magic.
