171 visions of the future // lunch money

Jul 26, 2010 08:30

I woke up this morning with a coin on my tongue. Yuuko had one, as well, but since the price of bao has gone up in recent centuries we are still forced to fund our own lunches.

It's a Greek tradition, I believe -- that, or over the eyes. I shall have to look it up.

Where curses that disrupt one's obligations are concerned the residents of this lovely City, by and large, seem to have adopted a policy of patience with themselves and others. Business days are days when one is able to get out of bed and has all of one's faculties in working order. Nonetheless, it is curious when the City itself -- the living, breathing, ticking entity -- takes on the motto, "better late than never."
