Show is back tonight! (though it's tomorrow morning, for me-whatever...)
MY REASON FOR LIVING! YAY!
I find it pretty hilarious how much I've tried to get into other fandoms lately and failed miserably. For a fleeting moment I thought White Collar was going to really suck me in, and I love the show, and Neil, but I'm not connecting like I thought I

And as long as they get in at least two Dick jokes I'll be happy. I'm easily pleased, okay? I've even come to like the Sam storyline this season, monstly because I can pretend that Dean still has a hallu!Alastair following him around, we just haven't met him yet.
As for other fandoms? Meh, who needs other fandoms? Do other fandoms have pie? Yeah, thought not.

He's like that crazy old guy that lives in a cabin in the woods and shoots a BB gun at the kids who sneak onto his property to pick blackberries.
I hug your brain now.

Thank the ineffable Bob above for fandom! My people who feel as I do! I guess there are casual SPN viewers? I don't understand these people at all!

I feel you here too: There are other shows I've loved more (especially during S5-6!), but none of them are under my skin, making me need more more more of the story than canon is able/deigns to deliver.
lets get all this Crazy!Sam business out of the wayLOL Sorry! All this fragile-but-gritting-through Sam is clearly Show's present to me! He's all brittle and sleep-deprived and trying to lock it down so Dean won't worry (ha!) and it's just like after Jess only this time there's even less Dean can offer in the way of comfort and so he's stuck being all gruffly bossy and worried and hiding his little overwhelmed worried faces and trying even harder to BE OK or at least fake it til he makes it so Sam won't worry (ha!) and I just love it all a very lot! So ( ... )

Lol. I'm glad someone's getting presents! Although I have to admit I much prefer this manly, more rough around the edges Sam dealing with crap, than I did the emo college kid Sam dealing with crap of Season 1. (OMG, did I just say I prefer something from another season to season 1? Don't throw rocks people!)

LOL! Really, though, a lot of what I'm digging about this season is this kind of extra layer of richness that the character moments have, just by virtue of this being Season 7. I don't know that I'd call this season better overall than S1, but there are things - especially callbacks to earlier episodes - that resonate more deeply now because of all we've seen them go through & everything we've learned about them in the meantime.
I'm just saying, I'll probably die of "Oh, booooys..." if they squeeze a "bitch","jerk" exchange in before it's all over.
