the annoying part is that most of these sort of comments have been coming from people who know FULL WELL it isn't realistic, and who enjoyed the movie! It just... it isn't necessary!!

A 100% realistic Greek Civilization movie is not possible anyway and/or wouldn't be good. This civilization is so mythological.
Anyway, I would love to see that movie, it seems so awesome :)

You are dead right. I can't stand those people who want to ruin a great movie experience by chucking reality into the mix. If I wanted reality, I'd sit on my porch. I didn't want reality. I wanted half naked men kicking ass and taking names....Damn it that's what '300' gave me.

haha! exactly! besides, ancient history is so... I don't want to say vague, but it's a lot harder to recreate than, say, WWII battles. So Miller didn't even try and let his imagination run wild.

And yeah, the half naked men kicking ass were fanTASTtic!
